Hi

set sqlprompt is the command.

you would basically
SQL> COLUMN rdbms_id NEW_VALUE prompt_str NOPRINT
SQL> SELECT name || '> ' rdbms_id FROM V$DATABASE;

SQL> SET SQLPROMPT '&&prompt_str'

you can put this in a file and call this
from login.sql... so that you don't need to run this every time .....you run sql plus..
