Hello, installed 8i on my gateway Notebook and it was working fine. When I changed from WORKGOUP to a Domain I could no longer connect to the database. After reverting to WORKGROUP, I am now able to connect. What seems to be the problem and how can I resolve it.

yes.
change the HOST settings in tnsnames.ora
if you have more errors, pls post the exact message
